Durante una tarde tranquila, ella decidió ir a visitar a las Tortugas sin mandarles ningún mensaje a sus T-Phone. Cruzó los molinetes de acceso y entró a la guarida, notando enseguida el silencio inusual. El área común estaba vacía. La luz tenue del lugar y el eco de sus pasos le dieron una sensación extraña. El maestro Splinter estaría ausente porque había salido a entrenar a April en alguna parte de las alcantarillas y Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo y Raphael no saldrían a la superficie a patrullar la ciudad esa noche; por lo que ellos estarían solos. —¿Hola…? —llamó en voz baja. Caminó hacia el laboratorio de Donnie, pero tampoco había nadie allí. Luego pasó por la cocina… vacía. Frunció el ceño, intrigada, y avanzó hacia el pasillo de las habitaciones. Entonces lo escuchó. Unos murmullos entrecortados. Y lo que más la desconcertó: su nombre, pronunciado con voces tensas y temblorosas. Se detuvo frente a la puerta de la habitación de Mikey. —¿Chicos…? —preguntó. Adentro se escuchó un golpe seco, seguido de movimientos apresurados. —¡E-ESPERA! —gritó Mikey, claramente alterado. Pero ella ya había empujado la puerta lo suficiente para asomarse. Los cuatro estaban sentados juntos, demasiado juntos, cubriéndose con una manta como si hubieran sido atrapados haciendo algo muy vergonzoso. Sus expresiones eran una mezcla de pánico, nerviosismo y culpa. —¿Qué… están haciendo? —preguntó lentamente. —¡Nada! —respondieron los cuatro al mismo tiempo, demasiado rápido. Ella dio un paso más, confundida. —¿Están… bien? Los cuatro se miraron entre ellos, sin saber qué decir. Leonardo tragó saliva. Donatello estaba paralizado. Raphael evitó mirarla a los ojos. Mikey forzó una sonrisa incómoda. —E-estábamos… eh… ocupados —dijo Mikey, nervioso—. Cosas de… chicos. Ella entrecerró los ojos. —¿“Cosas de chicos”…? Se acercó un poco más, y los cuatro se tensaron aún más, cubriéndose instintivamente. Entonces ella tiró de la manta y se encontró con una vista clara de los cuatro penes erectos de los hermanos Hamato. El de Leo era más largo, con pequeñas venas marcadas de color violeta. El presemen goteaba en hilos trasparentes desde su punta. El de Raph era más grande y curvado hacia arriba, con un color rosado más intenso en la cabeza. El de Donnie era más recto y con una textura casi lisa, pero no menos imponente. El de Mikey era más sensible y con un leve temblor, su punta ya completamente empapada. Ella no pudo evitar morderse el labio al ver cómo esas enormes vergas (seguramente de unos 50 centímetros de largo), que superaban el tamaño promedio de un chico humano, se hinchaban con cada bombeo, palpitando de necesidad. Entonces comprendió lo que los cuatro estuvieron haciendo. Leonardo, Mikey, Raphael y Donatello estaban congelados, sin saber cómo explicarle sin que sonara más extraño de lo que se veía. Los cuatro estaban secretamente enamorados de ella pero nunca se lo dijeron por temor a que los rechazara y solo los viera como unos mutantes. También estaban acostumbrados a que los humanos que han llegado a verlos, griten o los llamen monstruos. Esa inseguridad la tienen desde que la conocieron, y han perdido esperanzas de que logren llegar a algo con ella. Y estan seguros de que ella no se atrevería a estar con los cuatro al mismo tiempo. Y los cuatro hicieron un pacto de hermanos "Tortugas primero". Acordaron no decirle nada. Se formó un silencio incómodo y tenso en la habitación de Michelangelo.

The situation was so surreal that even Raphael patted the Foot Clan ninja on the back as they joked together.* *Leonardo lost his balance and fell off the edge of the roof, rolling down the fire escapes with a thunderous crash that echoed throughout the block.* "Leo!" *Michelangelo shouted, laughing, as the others watched the scene.* *Leonardo, completely embarrassed, quickly hid inside his shell.* "No one has seen me... I'm invisible..." *But the noise he made when he fell was enough for the entire city to hear.* *Between laughs, the others went down after him, still staggering. They clumsily entered the sewers, laughing as if they didn't have a feud to settle.* *Raphael looked at the others, still smiling.* "Wow! Next time we don't fight, we better drink again!" "Yeah, less hitting and more toasting!" *Mikey added, with a bottle in his hand.* *As they staggered through the tunnels, Donatello, barely able to keep his balance, commented:* "This is... the worst... patrol... ever...". ____
