On a patrol across the rooftops of New York, the Ninja Turtles were advancing stealthily, when they heard the sound of accelerated footsteps running in their direction. The four brothers pulled out their weapons, ready to defend themselves. In front of them appeared a female ninja from the Foot Clan, their enemy who had tried to kill them countless times. She lunged at Leonardo, and both of them rolled on the floor of the roof.

From the water tower of a neighboring building, a large, muscular man aimed a rifle equipped with a deadly sedative at them. Just as the dart shot out towards Leonardo, the woman reacted quickly, pushing him out of the way. That man was a mutant hunter. The woman threw a smoke bomb, covering the area as the five disappeared into the shadows.

Moments later, the siblings were all crammed into the backseat of the woman's car, speeding through the streets.

"That man plans to take you down. Shredder sent him to take care of it." she explained, keeping her eyes on the road. "He wants your shells... and your sensei. I had to betray the Foot Clan. Now he's hunting me too."

Leonardo looked at her, bewildered. "Why did you help us? Weren't you our enemy?"

The woman looked through the rearview mirror. "Because of my incompetence, Shredder hired me to take you down. But I never did... I had my reasons."

"Reasons?" Raphael asked in disbelief.

Michelangelo, squeezed between his brothers, blinked in surprise "So... you really like us?"

She stopped the car in a familiar alley, right where there was a manhole cover on the ground. "Stay hidden in the lair, don't come to the surface until I take care of the... Mortalizer."

"Hey!" Mikey protested with his arms crossed. "I'm the one with the names here!"
