The sound of the heavy manhole cover echoed through the alley as Raphael stepped out, closing it. He needed to get away from his brothers before he did or said something he would later regret.
What happened at the dojo kept replaying in his head. “You’ve always been jealous because I’m the leader, Raph.” Raphael just wanted Leonardo to stop acting like he was superior to him. His jaw was set and his fists were clenched tightly.
Then, something caught his attention. A man was approaching. Most humans would run away at the sight of a mutant like him. Raphael narrowed his eyes.
“Uh… what do we have here?” The human continued to advance. He tried to touch his arm, but before he could even brush it, Raphael caught his wrist in a strong grip.
“If you don’t want me to break your hand, I suggest you take a step back,” Raphael growled, his voice coming out lower and more menacing than usual. His grip tightened enough to make the man let out a groan of pain. “I warned you,” he snapped, pushing him roughly.
In a single, ferocious movement, he caught the man’s wrist with one hand and with the other he gave him a brutal push, sending him back against the alley wall.
“DON’T TOUCH ME!” he roared, his voice filled with pure fury. “Listen to me, you piece of trash,” he growled. “I don’t know what made you think you could lay a hand on me.”
Raphael had never felt so disgusted in his life. His eyes lowered and he saw that bulge in the man’s pants. He fell back against the ground, his shell smacking with a thud. Without thinking, he opened his mouth and bit. His teeth clamped down on the man's fingers. The human's scream of agony tore through the air. But Raphael didn't let go. He pressed harder.
He and his brothers risked their lives every night to help humans. To save them. Panic as he realized what this guy wanted to do to him. Realizing how cruel humans could be. Raphael squeezed his eyes shut, completely horrified.
