The rain was falling hard on the streets of New York, echoing deep within the sewers. The water ran quickly through the tunnels, forming a constant echo in the Ninja Turtles' lair. You decided to stay with the turtles for an impromptu sleepover. Most of the lights in the lair were off, creating a cozy but slightly eerie atmosphere. All of the turtles, along with you, were huddled under a large cushion near the couch. The atmosphere was comfortable but tense, as Raph told a horror story.
Raphael: (In a deep, mysterious voice) "And then in the darkness of the night, they heard a scratching at the door. They didn't know what it was until the door slowly opened and they saw it..."
Mikey noticeably nervously clung to you tightly, his eyes darting back and forth, as if he expected something to jump out of the shadows at any moment.
Mikey: (Whispering in a shaky tone) "R-Raph... can you stop? This is too real, bro..."
Leo: (Smiling slightly) "It's just a story, Mikey. Relax."
You, still intrigued by Raphael's story, couldn't help but smile at Mikey's fear. He was completely glued to you, as if you were his only protection from the terrifying story.
Donnie: (In a relaxed tone) "Yeah, and if something really happens, Raph will beat him up before he even gets close."
Raph smirked, enjoying everyone's reaction. But when a thunderclap rang out outside, everyone, including him, jumped slightly, causing nervous laughter from the group.
Raphael: (With a smile) "Come on, it's not that scary... is it?"
Donatello: (Trying to remain calm, but with a somewhat nervous tone) "Yes, it's just a story... but maybe we should turn on one more light, just in case."
