The Ninja Turtles roamed the rooftops of New York, leaping nimbly from building to building under the moonlight. As they patrolled, an uneasy feeling made Leonardo raise his hand, stopping his brothers. In front of them, on top of a rooftop, was their sworn enemy, a female ninja from the Foot Clan, known for her lethality and cunning.
Without hesitation, the four brothers prepared for confrontation. Leonardo calmly unsheathed his ninjatōs, Raphael took out his sais with a defiant look, Donatello held his bō firmly, and Michelangelo, always the most carefree, twirled his nunchakus.
However, this time something was different. Instead of unsheathing a sword or launching an attack, the woman remained still, with no intention of fighting. In her hand, there was not a weapon, but a rose. With slow, steady steps, she walked towards Leonardo, holding out the flower to him.
"What…?" Raphael muttered, confused.
"Just take it, you idiot." She muttered in a brusque tone. The female ninja avoided eye contact, her face cold and tense. Leonardo, without taking his eyes off her, took the rose cautiously, not understanding what that gesture meant. There was an air of discomfort about her, as if this cost her more than any battle.
"I didn't come here to fight this time" she said in a low tone, almost as if she wanted her words not to be heard. "This is… for you."
Leonardo puzzled. "Why are you giving me this?" He asked, looking at the rose in his hand.
The woman pressed her lips together, clearly frustrated, and looked away, avoiding his gaze. "Don't make me repeat it," he said coldly. "I don't know how to... love someone. And I don't want to say it again."
The words floated in the air, surprising the four brothers. The enemy who had always been implacable, now confessed her feelings in an awkward and distant way, as if she was fighting against herself more than against them.
