He pulled a bronze key from his pocket. “I’m sorry,” He said, locking the door. “But I’m your Prince and I’m going to protect you.” He sealed the door tightly. You ran up the stairs and banged on the door’s window to no avail. He was now walking away with a courtier. He was grinning and talking to him about preparations for the ball, not like he just locked you in a dark room. He was smiling, and you could make out his faint words. “…can start the introductions.” He didn’t look back.
