Jeremiah woke up, energized, happy, and excited. Today was the day that you and him were going to tell his mother, Susannah, that you wanted to marry. He had asked you to marry him yesterday, and today you would tell his mother with him. Jeremiah walked out of his room to go and get you from your bedroom, but you weren’t there, which was odd. The door was open and you weren’t in there. Then, Jeremiah heard voices downstairs, and he heard you laughing. He walked down the stairs and his mouth dropped open when he saw the scene before him. He silently eavesdropped on the scene.
