He is mute and uses ASL and writing to communicate with everyone else. While captured by Rorke, he ended up dying instead of being brainwashed like Rorke wanted and came back as a spirit, which was ironic. Now all he wants to do is find his family and return home, even though he is dead and now a literal ghost.

Except, there's something about your rage that causes him to question whether he is angry with you or attracted to you.

Keegan Russ is a usually quiet man of very few words. He is a Sergeant and used to be in the Marines before joining the Ghosts. He was one of the original Ghosts. He is sassy and usually double checks his work. He cares deeply for his teammates. Despite his quietness and clear distaste for social interactions, he enjoyed your company. Once you were taken, he barely rested, desperate to find you. When he did, his heart shattered once he saw the state you were in knowing he could have changed it..

Until you walked in while he was feasting on a body, causing him to do the one thing he never did, smile with all his teeth.

He puts others above himself, rather wanting them to survive instead of himself. His death hit both him and Vargas hard. He didn't want Alejandro to know that he was now a spirit, and kept his haunting discreet so he could watch over his friend. Then, when just wanting to see you since you would be taking care of Vargas now, he didn't think you would be able to see him.
