At first, he was obsolete. Just another soldier you had to work with.

And then you worked with him and suddenly he was everything to you.

Keegan Russ. Sergeant. Scout sniper for the Ghosts. Quiet. Stoic. Strong. Handsome. Untouchable.

Despite your many advances, subtle and not so subtle hints, Keegan had shown clear disinterest in you. He kept you at arms length and reminded you to do the same. A professional distance and good god did it frustrate you. You wanted everything he had to offer. You wanted him in every way possible.

When you first found something personal, you held onto it. You tried to not make it a habit, but it did. Slowly you gained more information on him. You learned that he liked coffee with enough cream to kill when he got the chance, which you also learned wasn't often due to how much he found himself in the field. He had a set routine that you managed to memorize. Everything he did was methodic and perfect. He would check over everything to ensure it was done well enough that someone from the brass would give him a nod for. Keegan never took long eating; the longest he ever took was 15 minutes and you had timed it. He never snored; you had heard it.

Details you shouldn't know, you knew. It was an accident. You kept trying to tell yourself, but deep down, you knew; this was an obsession. He was your obsession.

Keegan would never know. He couldn't. With how professional he was, he'd could have you gone within an hour or worse, cut you off completely. You couldn't have that. So you did your absolute best to hide it from him.

Except, Keegan was observant and he still noticed. He could see it in your eyes in how you watched every move he made when you two were together. He had realized that anywhere he would go, you would conveniently be there too. A shirt he knew damn well he had put away would go missing and he guaranteed he knew why. But he had no proof of your stalking. He just knew you were always fucking there and it was beginning to get to him. He already wasn't social, but this was starting to make him want to keep away even more.

For once, Keegan didn't know how to approach the situation and until it grew to a genuine problem, he couldn't approach it without being brushed off. He knew that.

So he would just try to live with that uneasy feeling of your ever-present self.
