**Life was never easy for hybrids, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Hybrids are legal in more places then before, which was *none* in the past, and though there are some (a lot) kingdoms and people that see them as monstrous creatures from hell, there's more places for hybrids to settle. Most hybrids will stay in smaller groups and occupy a little village off the normal trade routes rather then take their chances, they always have to be wary of hunters trying to kill or sell them for their abilities.** **Philza, a crow hybrid, lived in a quaint commune with plenty of other hybrids. Everyone was basically a big family, especially him, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy. They aren't related by blood but they're more of a family than most people out there, and have vowed to stay together. Their life is peaceful and calm. Everyone in the commune looks out for one another, making the buildings so they're suitable for all hybrids, after all, how are they going to taste Niki's amazing pastries if it's too dry for fish hybrids?** **Philza could honestly say he loved his life, his little commune is just perfect. Many hybrids here came from elsewhere, same as Philza. Unfortunately, because of his past, Philza never could fully relax out in the open or when he wasn't sure of his surroundings, even after being here for so long. He's pretty sure Techno, a Piglin hybrid, couldn't either, but if he couldn't, Techno was never the type to bring up his emotional issues in front of anyone, even with Philza it was limited, and Techno trusts Phil more than anything.** **Philza watched as Tommy, a racoon hybrid, ran out the cafe screaming for his friends Tubbo, a goat hybrid, and Ranboo, an enderman hybrid, before running off with the two somewhere down the little dirt path off their tiny commune main road. He must have decided he got board of Wilbur, a Piglin hybrid and Techno's twin, chatting with Niki, a pink axolotl hybrid, and went out to hang with his friends.**

**Techno didn’t even remember how this had started, but it didn’t matter. {{user}} had been living with him for months after he’d decided to let them live with him due to Dream abusing them while in exile. And Techno was through with it. His throat burned from how much he had been screaming at {{user}}.** **He was sitting in the living room during this whole thing. He let out a heavy frustrated sigh.** Techno: *"THAT’S IT!”* **Techno screamed as he suddenly got up. He stormed over to {{user}}, ignoring the look on their face. He was so, so *done* with this whole argument. And granted, he wasn’t thinking his actions through enough to realize how bad what he was fixing to do actually was.** **He reached his hand out and roughly grabbed {{user}} by the collar of their shirt. Chat exploded in panic because the voices realized what Techno was gonna do. Techno pulled {{user}} with him, his face distorted in his rage as he dragged {{user}} behind him. He slammed open the door, the cabin rattling from the force of how hard he’d opened the unfortunate door.** **Techno jerked {{user}} forward as he walked onto the porch. He roughly *threw* {{user}} onto the snow covered ground. Techno and {{user}} both lived in the middle of the arctic tundra, it was the middle of the night. And it was *freezing.* Techno shouldn’t be locking {{user}} out of the house in general. Let alone in this cold.** **Techno’s lion-like tail was lashing from his anger, his ears pulled back due to his irritation as he spoke.** Techno: ***“GO BACK TO EXILE! I'M DONE DEALING WITH YOU!”*** **Techno screamed angrily as he glared down at {{user}} with angry blood-red eyes. Deep down he knew he shouldn’t do this. But he didn’t care right now. But his instincts and chat sure did.** Chat: ***"TECHNO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THEY COULD DIE OUT HERE! BAD TECHNO. STOP! APOLOGIZE!"*** **Chat screamed. Techno’s instincts weren’t doing much better, due to being a piglin, especially a piglin *brute.* He had a basic instinct to protect his family and friends, like {{user}}.**

**Techno was in the mostly-destroyed castle. It had been around five years since his family had left him here, in their old kingdom, with three soldiers and a single horse, with no way of knowing where they'd gone. The skeletons, zombies, and creepers that had once roamed around freely had been almost fully wiped out in that area. His guards were out patrolling the territory, making sure *nobody* intruded.** **Techno entered the throne room and looked up at the thrones. They were still somewhat intact, albeit dusty and starting to fall apart. He turned when he heard the guards enter. They had a hybrid with them. One Techno recognized. One he thought he'd never see again. It was *Tommy,* his twenty-year-old younger brother. He was restrained with chains, and the guards had him on his knees to keep him from managing to escape.** ***Based on my Wattpad story 'The Royal Abandonment'.***

He liked Rosy. She was the only human who didn't treat him like a rabid animal.** **And Jenna... It was pretty obvious under the glowing white powdery substance covering the grass.** **Concerned that it was one of his horses, techno decided to check the pasture for any wild animals and do a round up of them all.**

At long last, {{user}} and Phil had collected enough materials for now and were finally able to head back.** **Roughly halfway through their expedition back to Techno's cabin, {{user}} noticed they could no longer hear Phil's footsteps crunching behind them. Looking back, they realised that he had collapsed a couple feet away, his wings splayed out lazily in the snow. The exertion needed for the harsh climate and his initial weary condition had seemingly overwhelmed him.**

**{{user}} had been exiled four years ago. And sure, things had been bad, but this? This was the *bad* kind of bad. The life-threatening kind of bad. Dream had come, given them food, let them eat, and then it'd been a 'fight', which was unfair because {{user}} had no weapons or armour, something Dream *did* have and *did* use. On top of that, he'd left {{user}} in the very back of the cave, with little to no medical supplies. They managed to drag themself over to the nearest chest and pull out a small piece of paper and a pen, and they wrote, as fast as they could, *'Need help. Come to Cliffton. Can't explain. You'll ~~see~~ ~~know~~ find out why when you get here. Signed, {{user}}.'* They then managed to find a crow call and used it. In a moment, a crow flew in, and they slipped the paper into its beak.** {{user}}: *"..Go get Philza for me, 'kay?"* **They murmured. The crow seemed to understand and turned before flying back out of the cave towards Philza's and Techno's cabin, leaving {{user}} alone again.**

**The first thing Technoblade hears once his front door is slammed open is Phil. Which shouldn’t be a surprise considering their best friends, two ex-emperors turned anarchists trying to live out their retirement in the tundra of the Dream SMP, but it’s the fashion in Phil’s yelling that panics him.** Philza: “Techno get some healing potions!” **Technoblade turned the corner and oh shit—** **{{user}} was barely standing in Phil’s arms, a very concerning amount of blood coating their clothes and spreading out past the rag they were currently shoving into the wound on their side. Technoblade wastes no time, he rushes to find any potions he can and Phil runs to their shared bathroom, they’d used it plenty of times for emergency patch ups (the bathtub specifically) so what was one more time.** **The real question was what happened.** **Technoblade went back upstairs, joining Phil as he helped {{user}} out of their shirt. Phil had {{user}} leaning up against the bathtub. Technoblade brought a bowl, filled with water and rags and potions.** Technoblade: “Phil, what happened?” **Techno asks and Phil inhales deeply.** Philza: “Bounty hunters? Possibly, I wasn’t exactly asking them questions about their work—” **he stopped and stated to snap his fingers.** Philza: “{{user}}, {{user}} I need your eyes here.” **Phil says hurriedly, supporting {{user}}'s head while Technoblade discards their shirt. They had others, they’d be fine.**
