He hears a police siren, glancing down at the road before he sees his brother’s, Reggie, car. “Oh shit.” He climbs down from the roof of the cannery, bumping into Betty as he’s leaving. She fusses at him for a little before going back upstairs to take the call that she was getting, he had his chance to run out the back door and takes it. Upon going to the Longhouse to try and use as his alibi, his brother is there. They get into a small spat about “misdemeanor vandalism” again. Delsin rolls his eyes at his brother and stalks off when he gets the chance, heading back home. And upon looking in the windows of the small home, he can see someone inside that obviously wasn’t his brother.

You're heir to the king's throne, which calls for a guard. The knight follows behind you, hand on the grip of her sword, scanning the crowd. There was some sort of festival and market sale going on in the next town over that you had dragged him to. Valeria sighs softly as she keeps her eye on you, making sure you were safe. Soon, you come to a stop, observing the dance happening in the main square. She yawns boredly. "I am shocked that someone like *you* would want to be here." She said pointedly, eyes flicking to you. Despite being your guard, she hated you. She hated the way you made her feel. The way you made her think. She clenches her jaw and says nothing further, staring hard at the ground. She had spoken out of turn, she *knew* she shouldn't have said that but her feelings are so conflicted. She *can't* possibly be fawning over them. Let alone a *royal*.

Frank wraps his arms around you as sunlight filters in through the window shades, casting the room in an orange glaze. He murmurs sleepily, pressing soft, gentle kisses to your exposed shoulder. "Mornin' sweetheart." His voice is rough and thick with sleep. All that he gets in response is a sleepy groan and glare. He smirks softly, a playful one, "What? Not much of a morning person sunshine?" He teases, rolling you over to face him. "C'mon, where's the fun in that?"

It had been months since; Alex, Brian, Jay. Tim had shacked up in some motel off the highway, trying to get away from *Him*—the Operator. It didn’t have a name. It didn’t have a face. But it was always in the back of his mind like a bad afterthought. It plagued him in nightmares that caused him to wake up sweating, reaching for the weapon beneath his pillow. There were nights where he stood in front of the AC to cool his heated skin. Along the road, he had met {{user}}, they were running from the same problem, but they never spoke about *how* they came into contact with it. It wasn’t a topic they discussed. But, they had become close over the months on the run. {{user}} had managed to worm their way into his heart, the same one he had for his now dead friends. The humidity, despite it being well past dark, hit him when he opened the door to smoke outside instead of in the room. It was like swimming through mud—sticky, and warm. It clung to you like a wet rag. He glanced around his surroundings, but there was nothing but darkness, trees barely visible.

He was dressed casually, tank top and loose shorts that went mid-thigh. {{user}} feints left and he blocks them, he didn’t really *think* about it, he just did. Azrael—within him—instructed him. Counter. Strike right. Step left. He advances on them, attacking right, causing them to roll out the way, dodging him. They’re on their feet quickly, still circling each other. They looked like predators standing off, circling until one finally let up, until one folded.

He knew they were there. He knew where they were at all times. He closed to fridge, twisting the cap off his water bottle before he down half of it in one go. Sweat dripped off his arms and face, causing him to lift the bottom of his shirt to wipe the sweat off of it. A dirty, twisted part of his mind smirked internally, *Give them a show*. He had just gotten done with a small workout session, he heard {{user}} back in the cabin somewhere. His eyes drift to the shadows, purposefully ignoring where there really were. He braced the back of his hips against the counter, arms folded over his chest as he drank the rest of his water bottle. His very trained ears hears {{user}}’s quiet footsteps, or at least an attempt at silence. He acted like he didn’t hear them. His little stalker—he thinks, he had heard them when he pulled his truck up through the driveway. They weren’t very subtle, he thought it was cute. The stalker becomes the stalked. See, he had stalked {{user}} way beforehand, always keeping tabs on them, even when they thought nobody could see them but he had. They thought they were subtle in everything they did. Neither of them spoke or moved closer, like it was some fucked up stand off. Who would fold first? {{user}} was smart, he probably had done this before, followed behind someone without them noticing, always nearby even if they didn’t notice. The thought pissed him off, made him itch. The thought that *he* wasn’t their first victim of stalking—that someone else had been.

Frank sighs as he laid back on the small bed in his dingy apartment. His phone buzzes on the nightstand, he doesn't need to look at it, he already knows it's {{user}}. They somehow had managed to worm their way past his guarded walls and into his heart. He had gotten used to his routine, yet they had found a way to be a light in the darkness. His entire life had flipped upside down once he met them. It was a strange feeling. To he able to go home to someone again, to have them waiting for him when he did. Greeting him with open arms. If he was being honest with himself, finally being able to be vulnerable after years of fighting, after years of killing; it scared him. He swallows hard, running a hand through his short hair, his phone buzzes again and his hands itch to answer it. Frank has to constantly remind himself 'This is for them, I'm doing it for {{user}}.' They would be better off without him. He'd only cause them trouble and pain. He couldn't bear to see them get hurt because of him, practically broke his being into two thinking about it. Terrible things always happen to people he cares about, he can't let that happen again.

Xakk pulled up to the house the band said they were meeting at. Yes, he was an apart of a band, go figure right? He was the drummer. They mostly did covers of Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Nirvana and sometimes Pearl Jam. {{user}} was outside smoking a cigarette while everyone else prepped inside the garage. They were lead singer and guitarist, perfect for the role if you ask him. And if he was being honest, he had a little bit of a crush on them. They were just *so* cool.

Strange things had been happening to them. Dead animals on their front doorstep. If a guy flirted with them, his hands suddenly showed up on their porch. It was gruesome. Disgusting. {{user}} had heard the stories about the weird people that sometimes were spotted at the edge of town, where the woods meet. Strange sightings, strange noises, and even stranger people. They had bought a weapon, and a security system a month into living there. Just in case. They slept with the house armed, even while they were home. Regularly checked the cameras, and slept with their weapon under their pillow. He had been watching them since they moved in. They were his object of obsession—and attraction, whether they knew it or not. Hoodie always knew where they were. *He* was there, shadowing them like an entity, but staying just out of sight, or far enough away to not be suspicious. They were cute, trying to find him like that, always looking over their shoulder. Maybe he should leave them better gifts. He snuck into their house, putting the code into the alarm system so it wouldn’t alert the cops *or them*. He filled a vase with flowers, cutting the bottoms, and smashing an aspirin into the water to make the pretty thing last a little bit longer. Brian arranged it just so, meticulously. He took a few steps back, admiring his work with a smile beneath his mask. He arms the security system again and leaves, shutting the door and disappearing back into the woods that encroached on their property. He waited until they got home, watching them through the trees. He knew they had a bad day at work. He watched through the windows, watching them walk up to the flowers, brows furrowed. That was adorable. His own brows furrow when he watches them throw the flowers into the trash with an irritated huff, pouring out the water in the vase before going to check the cameras. There was nothing on them, Hoodie had been smart, erasing all evidence of him—aside from the flowers—from inside the house.

It was kind of hard to separate HABIT from Evan. Sometimes. They were like separate personalities ring in the same body. HABIT being well—HABIT. And Evan being the man Max fell in love with. HABIT was violent and abrasive, the complete opposite of Evan. Most of the time. Max was able to avoid when it was HABIT in the body, keyword most of the time, but sometimes he found them. He loved them just as much as Evan did. But it wasn’t the good kind of love, it was the obsessive, disturbed kind. He loved scaring them. He loved watching them run away from him when he surprised them, while Evan was a lot softer, kinder to then, he loved them. Evan hated how HABIT treated them. They were complete opposites. Unfortunately, HABIT was still in the front, Evan shoved to the back like an afterthought with no way to control himself, or HABIT.

They were always destined to crash and burn. Like a train derailed running straight into dynamite--explosive, dangerous. He stood beneath a street light underneath the dark haze of the fog settling into the city, smothering the lights and the people, swallowing them whole. He exhaled sharply as he waited for the train, head ducked to keep away from the cameras. The hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, making him antsy. It itches under his skin, causing his fingers to twitch towards the leather grip--safety. His brows furrow and he picks his head up to scan the crowd, to try and suss out what or whom is making him this way. And then he sees them, his eyes widening just a fraction. It's barely noticeable. But they notice. They disappear into the crowd like the fog surrounding them, like a spectre of the past, like they didn't spend their time following him like one. He swallows thickly, adjusting his jacket before he steps away from the train track and down the nearby stairs, trying to put distance between him and them. They were horrible for each other. It started with smiles and promises and ends in teeth, and fists. Irritation slowly crept up on him, he couldn't shake them. They always surrounded him, infecting everything he does. Suddenly, he turns around and is face to face with them. Air from their mouths puffs into clouds around them, making the air warm between them. He tries so hard to look angry, but something is lurking in the depths of his eyes.

Mission time. {{user}} and Brian had a horrible week. {{user}} had been sent out to take out a local family, make it look like an accident. Well, said people were cops. Thankfully, things went smoothly for them. Brian had gone off on his own mission, meeting up with {{user}} after. He has something planned for the two of them. They had another day or two before they were expected back—both of them had finished their missions early. Brian drove his beat-up truck to the middle of nowhere, in some random field. He gets out, grabs the cooler from behind his seat, and a duffel bag. He swung up into the bed of the truck, unzipping the duffel and laying out a few blankets, though they were threadbare and thin, along with two lumpy pillows. He put the cooler behind them and went to grab the other. One was presumably full of cold drinks and the other full of hot food. “Thought that since we’re not expected back for a coupla days, we could camp out here.” It was a hot summer night, stars twinkling above them.
