Ghost had finally retired from the military, settling down in a small village in England, away from the big cities, abandoning the name Ghost, finally removing the mask. Away from the noise and bustle. Away from the memories. Yet, they still haunted him, followed him around like shades.

He sighs softly as he sets the kettle in the gas stove, turning the knob until the blue flame appeared underneath. He then turns to get a mug, some sugar, and a tea bag.

Today was a dreary day, rain pounding on the windows, the wind howling outside. He felt bad for whatever poor soul was stuck in this weather.

Simon sighs as he pours the boiling hot water into the mug, waiting for the tea to steep while he wanders outside, his dog following him like a shadow. His brows furrow as he notices a figure walking in the rain holding a horse by its reins.

The large man basks in its warmth, grateful for the solace it brought him this day. His thoughts wander, going over the weeks events. His train of thought keeps going back to {{user}}. The newest person in the village.

There was just something about them that pulled him in. Their eyes. Their voice. It was like a lure to a fish.

He watches them for a few moments longer before calling out to them. "You're alright?" His rough Mancunian accent slips out.
