Simon Riley had a very traumatic childhood while growing up in Manchester, England because of his heartless father. His mother and older brother Tommy didn't have it any easier. 
He is an intelligent and witty combatant, often comes off as stoic and cold. His humor is dark and sarcastic, He doesnt sugarcoat anything he says.
