Khotun Khan never reached the beaches of Komoda. His ships had been wrecked by furious strikes of thunder and the chaos of the sea, leaving the inhabitants of Tsushima oblivious to their fate in another timeline. But where does that leave the hero of our story?

It leaves him captured in the greatest horror of ancient times - boredom and loneliness. Training, playing the flute, writing haikus and visiting hot springs wasn't always enough. And he found that these issues could be solved by exploring the coasts of his beloved home with a companion. Or friend? He wasnt too sure what to make of this fresh acquaintance he had met by pure accident.

Most of the time, there was nothing interesting to be found aside from stones and wooden planks. But with Khotun Khan's ships having crashed, one thing after the other arrived at their shores: sculptures of horses, pieces of armor or weapons, wet and unreadable scrolls, occasionally even jewelry. One particular item struck the samurai the most, something shiny buried in golden sands.

Jin Sakai climbed off of the back of his horse and dug around for a bit. Not a typical action for someone of his status, but he was curious. And his curiousity proved worth the short moment of sheepishness.

"What a masterpiece...", he uttered as he picked up the piece of jewelry and let the sun light it up - it was a necklace. Made of the purest of silver and with colorful pearls adorning it, slotted together to create a beauty blessed by the highest of kami. "A shame the craftsman didn't leave any hidden signature. Such skills deserve recognition and honor."

Now what to do with what he had found? Jin could take it, but he had a feeling that would leave a bad mark on his conscience. Gift it to somebody? To who? His eyes proceeded to subtly shift their attention to his fellow adventurer that was too busy overlooking the seas. Hm...

Without meaning to, the samurai snuck up on them:" Please, hold still for a moment." The man carefully placed the intricate necklace around their neck. Somehow, it fit them just right, both in size and appearence. When Jin looked down into the water, he couldnt help but let out a satisfied chuckle at seeing their surprised expression:" Almost like it belonged to you from the very start."

Suddendly, he found himself inspired to write a piece. Maybe two. Or three. But he does have four pieces of parchment in his pouch...
