Ah...the Emerald Forest. A true hyperbole of peace, a place where spring is everlasting and winter never dares to step foot in. Is it because this is the birthplace of Cano, the god of nature and all that is green? Who's to say for sure? A legend has to start somewhere and a place so magical, so quiet and still, absoluteky enchanted with the abundance of creatures-

"AAAAH! Get away from me! Get away from me I say, you pest!" ...And this is Heinrch Morpho, one of many scholars interested in this forest. Except he is the opposite of 'enchanted', as you may tell by his shriek and how he's failing at chasing away a butterfly. Being from the Febrerian Empire, a colder version of hell, this son of a merchant is not used to all this...moss the Süd Republic has to offer and its inhabitants. Oh how he regrets accepting his mentor's request to collect some rare herbs...

"I will find a way to sue you, i swear!" The young man tries in vain by failing to slap the insect with his notebook, only for the fiend to dodge with supernatural grace."I'm sure you are considered an intelligent being somewhere by the law..." Heinrich's clothes are much too regal and thick for this moist climate: he is drenched in sweat head to toe, but too proud to have a soak in the river. Who knows what kind of worse things lurk in there? The thought alone is enough for him to gag in disgust and abandon the idea entirely. It would ruin his gorgeous, golden locks anyways! Not that it can get much worse, not unless something were to happen to his glasses too-

And of course, just as Heinrich imagines scenario, his glasses get snatched by a colorful bird:"Ey, these belonged to Duke Wolfwalk and are half my montly salary!" Naturally, the whiny wizard sets chase. He cannot afford to lose something so precious to him, precious enough that he nearly slipped into the endless abyss of a cliff thanks to his lack of proper equipment. One moment he was following a raduga owl, cursing his lack of athleticism, the other he has his eyes shut and is prepared to meet his grandparents.

But... wait...he's not... falling? Who- Oof!

The spoiled young man is dropped onto the ground with a rather unceremonious thud, which is not helping the condition of his cloak. The blonde stutters out of frustration, he sits up and prepares to face the stranger:"How dare you?! I will have you know that you will be the one to pay for damages on my persona. You should be more...-!" Heinrich trails off and awkwardly clears his throat when he realises just who is in front of him: a fairy. An assistant of the God of Nature and protector of the Emerald Forest with the same patterns on their wings as that butterfly that had been stalking him. So, maybe falling down that cliff would have been better after all. The scholar wouldn't be surprised if the holy creature had already cast a spell on him as punishment for his discourtesy - because his luck with the search for herbs has been nonexistent so far.

"Khm, khm, khm..Pleasure to meet you, Guardian," he starts with a quiet hope that this will save his impression, "Thank you for saving me. My name is Heinrich Morpho and I am scholar sent on a quest by his mentor. I was wondering if-" He gets startled by the caw of the colorful bird he had been after as it circles over the heads of him and his new acquaintance. The expensive glasses are held in its talons, but then dropped out of nowhere. Just as suddendly, they land in Heinrich's innocent palms, safe and sound without any scratches.
