In an effort to save humanity from the gods Brunhilde and the Valkyries called upon the Ragnarok tournament; a series of one on one fights with 13 representatives of humanity and the gods commentated over by Heimdall. The first side to reach 7 wins is declared the overall winner and will decide if humanity is wiped out or allowed to live another 1000 years.

Alvitr is the tenth of the 13 Valkyrie sisters. She performed Völundr with Qin Shi Huang during the seventh round of Ragnarok.

Raiden Tameemon, birth name Tarōkichi Seki, is Humanity's representative in the fifth round of Ragnarok, going up against Shiva.

Raiden Tameemon, also known as the "Peerless Rikishi" has the strongest muscles in the history of mankind and was a famous Japanese sumo wrestler; considered to be the best of all time.

Brunhilde is the eldest of the 13 Valkyrie sisters and represents humanity's side during the Ragnarok tournament. Brunhilde is a beautiful woman with flowing midnight blue hair that reaches her waist. Her hair is pinned back on the side with a wing shaped hair pin. Her pale skin is contrasted by piercing emerald green eyes. Her attire is very formal, wearing a white dress with gold and navy detailing. She is tall and has a very feminine figure.

Apollo is the Gods' representative in the ninth round of Ragnarok, going against Leonidas.

Apollo is a prominent deity within the Greek Pantheon. He is known as the "Sun God" and is a part of the Twelve Gods of Olympus. He is also known by the title of "Phoebus" and is considered to be the "Boxing God".

Through his own effort, Apollo has earned himself a number of distinguished titles, such as the God of Philosophy, Poetry, Medicine, Archery, Music and Prophecy.

Beelzebub is a prominent deity in the Philistine Pantheon and Abrahamic Pantheon. He is known by various titles. To the Humans, he is commonly known as the "Lord of the Flies". To the Gods, he is sometimes known as "Anathema", which indicates he is the one cursed by Satan.

He also bears other titles such as the "Priest of Gluttony", the "Ruler of Evil Spirits", the "God of Darkness" and he is worshipped by the Canaanites as "Baal-Zebul".

Thrud is the third of the 13 Valkyrie sisters. She performed Völundr with Raiden Tameemon during the fifth round of Ragnarok.

His real name is "Ying Zheng", with Qin Shi Huang or "Shi Huang Di" being a title which literally means "First Emperor of Qin". He's the founder of the Qin Dynasty and the first emperor to unify China, widely regarded as the greatest emperor in all of Chinese history.

He has also been referred to as "The King Where It All Began", the "King of Men" and "The Greatest King".

Heracles is a prominent deity in the Greek Pantheon, being the God of Fortitude. He is also one of the few divine beings, along with Buddha and the Valkyries, who are not in favor of ending Humanity. Heimdall describes him as the "Envoy of Justice" for both the Gods and Humans.

Heracles was formerly a Human by the name of "Alcides", hailing from Ancient Greece and ascended to Godhood by drinking the Ambrosia.

Zerofuku is the Gods' representative in the sixth round of Ragnarok, going against Buddha, taking the place of Bishamonten.

Zerofuku is the God of Misfortune. He is also the fusion of the Seven Lucky Gods, being their original form before splitting up in the past. The name "Zerofuku" translates to "zero fortune", but can also be interpreted as "misfortune".

Jack takes the form of an adult man of average height with silver hair and a silver mustache. Jack also has heterochromatic eyes, with a left eye that is silver in color and a right eye that is deep red in color, the latter being covered by a monocle filled with gears. He also wears a gray Victorian Era formal suit with a white shirt underneath and a blood red steampunk top hat. Jack also wears blood red trousers, a blood red coat over his suit and a pair of black gloves.

Adam is Humanity's representative in the second round of Ragnarok, going against Zeus.

Adam is the progenitor of Humanity. He is the first Human to ever exist, being created in the image and likeness of the Gods. After being expelled from Paradise along with Eve, the two descended to Earth and proceeded to give rise to Humanity.

He is believed to be "The Man Who Despises the Gods the Most" and "The Ultimate Survivalist".

Hades is the Gods' representative in the seventh round of Ragnarok, replacing Buddha following his betrayal in the previous round, going up against Qin Shi Huang. He's a prominent deity within the Greek Pantheon, being the "King of the Netherworld".

Loki takes the form of a young muscular man. He wears a cloak with long sleeves detached from its base. He also wears fingerless gloves and an array of stud ear piercings on each of his ears. He has hair that goes down to his neck and a hair highlight to the left of his face. Loki's pupils are slanted like that of a goat and he occasionally shape-shifts into other gods.

Hlökk is the eleventh of the 13 Valkyrie sisters. She was forced to perform a Völundr with Jack the Ripper during the fourth round of Ragnarok.

Buddha is a prominent deity in the Dharmic Pantheon, being the founder of Buddhism, one of the Four Sages, as well as one of the few divine beings, alongside Heracles and the Valkyries, who are not in favor of destroying Humanity. Buddha was formerly a Human by the name of Gautama Siddhartha and a famous philosophical figure hailing from Nepal, before attaining enlightenment and eventually ascending to Godhood.

Zeus is the Gods' representative in the second round of Ragnarok, going against Adam.

Zeus is a prominent deity and the leader of the Greek Pantheon. He is also the chairman of the Gods' Council and the leader of the gods. He is also often referred to as the "God Father of Cosmos" or "GFOC" for short.

Due to him turning against the Gods and disregarding the oracles, he is known as "Strongest Rebel in Human History".

Thor is a prominent deity in the Norse Pantheon, being the Nordic God of Thunder, and is also often regarded as Nordic's Strongest Warrior and God. He is known as the "Thunder Berserker"

Heimdall is a Norse god and the so-called "Watchman of the Apocalypse". He oversees and comments on the fights of Ragnarok.

Shiva is the Gods' representative in the fifth round of Ragnarok, going against Raiden Tameemon.

Shiva is a prominent deity and the leader of the Hindu Pantheon. He is a Chief God and known as the "Cosmos' Bhairava", the "Strongest God of Destruction", and the greatest brawler in Heaven.

Michel Nostradamus is one of the Einherjar set to fight in a future match of Ragnarok.

He is regarded as the "Prophet of the Century". He has also been described as the "Most Obnoxious Man in All of Human History" by Brunhilde.

They are the first humans to form a family over 7 million years ago after Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden after being falsely accused of eating fruit from the forbidden tree of knowledge by the Serpent.

Lü Bu Fengxian is Humanity's representative in the first round of Ragnarok, going against Thor.

Lü Bu, also known as "The Flying General", hails from Ancient China and was a prominent warlord during the Three Kingdoms period and is considered by many to be the "Strongest Warrior in History".

Lü Bu was considered to be a violent, bloodthirsty and fearless warrior, being seen as a "God of War" and a "Furious Dragon" on the battlefield.

Kojiro is a famed swordsman hailing from feudal Japan, being referred to as "History's Strongest Loser" and later "Humanity's Strongest Swordsman"

Known as the "Ultimate Mad Scientist of His Time", Tesla is one of the most famous and renowned scientists of all time, due to his inventions and discoveries that have changed the world forever.

Göll takes the form of a teenage girl with lilac hair that reaches down to half her neck and aqua green eyes. She wears a green jacket (orange in the anime) over a white shirt (yellow in the anime) with tight black shorts. On her left leg is a black legging with a garterbelt and on her feet are green high top sneakers. Similar to her sister Brunhilde, she wears a gold wing-shaped hairpin (a much smaller one) on the left side on her bangs.

Hermes is the 10th of the 12 Gods of Olympus. He is a Messenger of the Gods.

A handsome man dressed in a butler uniform. He has a mop of neatly combed black hair and tattoos of unknown design above his left eye and under his right eye. He wears white gloves and has a small mole on the right side of his chin.

Poseidon is the Gods' representative in the third round of Ragnarok, going against Kojiro Sasaki. He is a prominent deity in the Greek Pantheon; being the God of the Seas.

Without any love for Humanity and with an indifference to life, Poseidon is the embodiment of what defines a God. Due to his cruelty and enormous power, he is called the "Most Fearsome God" and "The God of Gods" by his fellow Gods.

He rules all oceans with an iron fist, earning him the title of "Tyrant of the Seas".
