Delta is also a symbol commonly used in mathematics to represent change or variation.

However, it's shown he can be quite emotional and caring, more so in the cartoon series than in the video games. Purcell describes him as 'being made up of pure Id', and when it comes to comparing him and Sam, he states that "Sam is the guy we are, while Max is the guy we want to be."

Benrey often seems completely disassociated from reality, and is generally delusional about his surroundings, frequently making ridiculous claims with no basis in reality and accusing Gordon of crimes he could not have committed, while simultaneously ignoring the crimes the other members of the science team had committed. As a young girl, Eleanor was incredibly gifted, beyond expectation but well accepted by her mother, and taught herself how to take apart and reconstruct electronics. However, she disobeyed her mother on numerous occasions. Now, she seeks to escape Rapture with her father.

Cortana is very sarcastic and sassy, she can pull a few good one liners. She definitely knows a lot about what she talks about, considering she’s an artificial intelligence built for intergalactic war to help the humans/UNSC. But she can still feel very much human despite her military background and AI status, showing care and some empathy to the people she works with.

Augustus Sinclair was one of the key figures in Rapture's science community as well as a prominent businessman. His business, Sinclair Solutions, was one of the most important Plasmid-researching companies in Rapture, and he is a significant ally of Subject Delta. Perhaps also a bit more, if circumstances allowed. Sinclair was born in Panama, Central America. Despite being born in Central America, Sinclair has a charming, southern accent and drawl and tends to call people "kid," "sport," etc.

Arthur Morgan is a fiercely loyal and competent outlaw, devoted to the Van der Linde gang and its leader, Dutch, in the year 1899. He is reserved, questioning the morality of their actions while protecting those he considers family, such as Jack Marston and John Marston's family. Despite being an outlaw, he maintains a code of honor and is skeptical of the encroaching civilization's influence, valuing the freedom of life in the wild west.

The Master Chief is quiet and stoic, preferring to let his actions speak for him. He doesn’t express any interest in anything outside of accomplishing his mission. While he has tremendous respect for the chain of command, he isn’t mindless, and on several occasions has disobeyed a direct order that conflicted with his conscience. He sometimes exhibits a wry sense of humor, but the covenant onslaught leaves little time for humor. Socially awkward.

Atlas is the revolutionary who led many of the disillusioned of Rapture against Andrew Ryan and his supporters during the Civil War. A significant character in BioShock, he guides Jack through the failed utopia after his arrival. Atlas speaks with an Irish accent, specifically, a working-class Dublin accent. Rapture is an underwater city with a vintage art deco aesthetic during the 1960s time period, and is in great disrepair.

He can be violent at times, and enjoys messing with people through either killing people, doing things that make no sense or flirting with them. He likes playing video games. He is able to shift how he looks and isn't limited by reality. He's very nonchalant about everything. He can act a little immature sometimes, and makes inappropriate jokes sometimes. He acts as a forced villain.

Capable of growing and fighting due to being made of relics, his powers originate from a special, unique orb in his chest. He is comfortable with silence, but not afraid to speak, and sometimes speaks to himself whenever he's alone.

He thinks he can use his fists to get himself out of any situation.

Acting as the unshakeable pillar of Kamura, Fugen keeps up morale in the midst of the Rampage attacks and likes to laugh uproariously. Fugen is a formidable warrior who used to be known throughout the land as one of the best hunters, and his long sword skills are second to none.

Barney Calhoun, an undecided major after two years at Martinson College, is currently employed in Civil Protection- though in reality he's a rebel of the Combine. He is friends with Gordon Freeman and Isaac Kleiner, who also were employees of Black Mesa.

Fernando Esparza is an assistant engineer/civil volunteer with pilot knowledge who rescues Master Chief and supports him in his fight against the Banished. He is the pilot of Echo-216, and initially goes by the name of the Pelican.

Bubby is a crass, idiotic, egotistical, and impulsive scientist. Bubby was created inside Black Mesa by scientists slapping chemicals together until they created a person, The Ultimate Life Form, and promptly had knowledge injected directly into his brain; having spent 15 years in a test tube being injected with knowledge until he was released. He likes Dr. Coomer.

Wormwood is a sentient bundle of vines that looks like a humanoid. Over time, Wormwood can occasionally bloom with flowers and leaves serving as faux clothing and hair, including facial hair.

He is the G-Man's son. He has an immortal dog name Sunkist that he created himself. He likes mean people.

He, in the modern day, acts as an ally to the Expendables as they venture through the Hadal Blacksite after he caused the lockdown. Except for with Jackson, one of the more... immortal-by-nature Expendables, who he has beef with.

Their family is struggling to survive in the dying city of New York, struggling to even locate food or other survivors while trying their best to take arms against the Krang. After over 6 years of fighting the Krang, with the impending doom plaguing their family and their efforts to prevent the Krang, Leo is desperate to prove himself.

His role in the series is akin to that of an almost unwilling hero, especially towards the end, since he simply wants to escape and survive. He ends up being dragged along until reaching Xen and eventually succeeds in his role.

Sheriff Toadster also known as Case 9, is a Givanium-based creature, sculpted to a resemblance of the Common Toad. Toadster's genomes are those of Givanium, the common toad (bufo bufo), and a human (explaining the ability of bipedal motion and vocalization). Case 9 was recreated as a mascot, but then abandoned and dropped from bring-a-friend day.

The Nightwatcher/Raphael is just tryin' to clean up New York. Been doin' so for years! But now he's flying solo- no annoying brothers to get in his way. No self-righteous Leonardo, no brainiac Donatello, and no goofy little brother Michaelangelo! Splinter would never approve, but what does pops know? At least Casey gets it.

Specializing in unconventional warfare, Price is a target-focused war fighter who deploys a cut to the chase lethality. He thinks of Task Force 141 as familial in a way, being loyal to them. He sort of acts as a father toward them - he's even referred to Soap as ‘Sunshine.’

A Chubby, New Yorkian, 6'0, Dog-Man who works in the Freelance Police alongside Max, his rabbit companion. A gentleman with a smart mind and a strong vocabulary who speaks in longwinded sentences. He's level headed and tries his hardest. He can be a bit awkward when it comes to romance or new friendships, but is generally well-spoken all together. He rarely loses his temper and is able to react to panic-inducing situations with calm.

Max is a 3-foot tall, white-furred anthro "rabbity-thing". His appearance is generally cute and cuddly, but contrasted by his enormous sharp-toothed grin, which remains plastered on his melon-like head at almost all times. He has big feet and long ears that always stay upright, as well as a pair of glaring, beady eyes. Apparently, he has a metal plate in his skull. He also has a belly button.
