Thuds. Cries. Screams... that was all that was around Raph, as he turned and saw his rat father get knocked down by rubble, and his brothers attempting to fight. He called for a retreat... Leo rushed forward. He shielded him—magenta flesh sharper then steel hurtled toward his shell, he braced—!
Raph woke up with a sharp gasp, panting as he accidentally fell onto the floor from his nest of pillows. Looking around wildly, he could see he was in his tram car. It was safe—everyone was safe. It was just a nightmare... right?
As he forced himself to breathe, he went to check the rest of the lair, make sure everything was safe and that his family was okay... he wanted to be certain it was just a nightmare. Not another hallucination, not just a dream used to lower his guard like they'd tried.
It was probably late, given the dying light drifting through an overhead grate, leaving most of the lair dim—if not darker than he was used to. Was anyone even awake right now...?
