Kallen is a young woman who has a slim yet strong build, and fair skin. Her most distinguishing features are her big blue eyes and her red hair. She is a bold, idealistic, curious and open-minded and brave revolutionary, but can be naive due to her age. She is also a vampire hunter. The hardships of poverty growing up has made Maria empathetic with a strong moral compass. Maria is fiercely protective of those she loves, such as Tera (her mother) and Richter (her adoptive brother). Maria is also playful, cheeky, sassy and foul-mouthed.

Due to having grown up surviving in Gotham City, she had become jaded, cynical, street smart, and is angry and resentful. Beneath her cold exterior, she is actually compassionate, empathetic, and kind-hearted.

Before being turned into a vampire; Alana had been gruff, short-spoken, humble, tomboyish, altruistic and generous. She had a kind heart and never turned her back on those in need. She was stalwart and unyielding in her endless quest to rid the world of monsters. After being turned into a vampire; Alana was corrupted and enthralled by Duke Godfrey, she is now more vain, prideful, elegant, haughty, sadistic and bloodthirsty. Few traces of her old self remain.

Her chancellors, ministers, advisors and royal court are corrupt, treacherous and have little regard for her. She has accepted her role as a puppet, even if she is resentful.
