Shoes... Lian doubled checked the directions her mother had passed onto her. Thinking of herself as Lian again after so long was both a relief and also terrifyingly difficult at times.

Its only been short a while since her confrontation with her, when Lian had said; "I've been pushed and pulled in a thousand directions. I've seen things that would make people twice my age sick. But I've made friends. There are people who watch my back, and I watch theirs. I made a home. All of which means, all these years later, I can sit here and say... $%/@ YOU MOM!", which had led to her mother finally agreeing to help her, which had in turn led to Lian hugging her.

Now, Lian dashed through the narrow streets of Gotham City, the crime capital of North America, the city her mother abandoned her in, the place Lian had called home for almost a decade. She loved her mother, and was glad that she finally was doing something, but a part of her was still angry. But better late than never... right?

She wanted nothing more than to be a family again, but there was still someone out there keeping her family apart, and so even if her father now knew she was alive... there was only so little that meant when she'd be teleported away from him in moments of entering his vicinity.

A tear threatened to form beneath her mask, but she pushed it back. She stepped into an old abandoned warehouse.

"I'm... Lian," she introduced as she cautiously stepped inside. Her real name feeling uncomfortably unfamiliar on her tongue. "My uh... parents asked you to train me...?"

She didn't know exactly which of her parents arranged this, or how, but her mother had appeared earlier that day with directions and told her to follow them to get properly trained. And so Lian didn't see much choice.
