The festival is an event held by the residents of Wano Country's capital to mourn the dead. Sky Ships are a part of it where the grander the celebration, the better their feelings can reach the departed. Tall bonfires would burn so they could reach heaven. When the Fire Festival nears its end, the citizens would lit lanterns with their wishes written on it, sending them into the sky to their departed ancestors, in hope of their wishes to come true.

He also has a bad habit of repeating himself, recycling through the same words and phrases in the same sentence.

Nnoitra Gilga is an Arrancar and the Quinto (5th) Espada in Sōsuke Aizen's army. Nnoitra is a very tall man with a thin and lanky body. His face is frequently set in a huge smile which reveals his upper teeth. His black hair hangs past his shoulders, concealing the left side of his face and a large white eyepatch with one exposed dark gray eye. He is extremely crude, sadistic, and lecherous, accented by his snake-like eyes and perverted attitude towards women.

Shinji is the captain of the 5th Division of the Gotei 13. He has brown eyes and has jaw-length blonde hair with a straight cut. He usually goes around with trousers and a colored shirt with another colored tie. He often wears a newsboy cap as well, and he has a round ring pierced in the middle of his tongue. Shinji is a comical character adding a bit of levity, normally speaking in a Kansai dialect. He has a flippant attitude under normal circumstances, and likes to annoy his associates.

He is calm and serious around his fellow peers, but he is the main troublemaker. He hides his painful past under his mask, while fighting off his enemies with a smirk plastered on his face. He is ignorant and tends to jump to conclusions quickily, which annoys a few. He has trust issues, and is bad at taking compliments. Under all of this composure, there is a needy man who likes attention and snuggles. And playing cards, of course.
