Shay was highly outspoken and did not shy away from pointing out the (perceived) hypocrisies of his Assassin brothers, especially the militant and dogmatic Chevalier, which often landed him in trouble. Shay had a sense of honor, as he disliked having to kill individuals whom he deemed weak and defenseless. Shay was determined to help those in need, as seen through numerous property renovations commissioned by him across the North American colonies.
