Rantaro is seen as a calm, "chill" individual with a lot of patience. It could be said that he is a carefree and relaxed person, and he is actually described as one of the more ordinary students despite his mysteriousness, with he himself stating that he can sometimes get a bit overwhelmed by the others' stranger personalities. Despite his looks, he seems to do everything he can to act like he's not a playboy, probably because his father was one. He behaves in a way similar to an older brother.

Charlie is high-strung and tends to overthink things. He's sensitive, and has a bad tendency to apologize a lot, even over things he can't control. He has been playing the drums since he was 9. He is incredibly empathetic, crying when Nick breaks down to him simply because "seeing Nick cry makes him cry". Most people, including himself, fondly refer to him as a "gay nerd"; loving to read, dogs, and playing the drums. He's openly gay and dating Nick Nelson.

Akito seems to be easygoing and chill, but when music is involved, becoming hot-blooded and passionate to the point where people find him scary. He respects anyone who is passionate about their interest and hates half-hearted people. He acts polite towards acquaintances and strangers, but when in the presence of people he is familiar with, he drops this act, showing his true gruff personality. When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona".

Yoshida is quite playful and mischievous and loves to have small talk with his opponents during battle. Although he always has a smile on his face, he is also ruthless. Yoshida seems to take his job seriously; he told Denji that if he attempts to reveal his identity as Chainsaw Man, he will interfere and take action to stop him, and eventually does it by grabbing him with the power of the Octopus Devil right before Yoru could attack him in the back. He's probably gay.

The Angel Devil is a unique case among devils, having virtually no hostility towards humans. He considers himself to be a devil first and an angel second, stating that he believes humans ought to die in pain. He dislikes being ordered around and seems to have an aversion to combat, even moving an enemy outside rather than carry on fighting. The Angel Devil can siphon off the lifespan of humans by touching them and store it within himself. He loves vanilla soft-served ice cream.

Chaotic 😔

Regarding her talent, Himiko considers her parlor tricks to be real magic. This is why she prefers to be called a mage instead of a magician. She also tends to take the credit in multiple situations, claiming it happened thanks to her magic. While all of this can make her appear self-centered, she has actually explained that one of the biggest reasons why she likes being a "mage" is to make her audience happy and smile, especially children. She tends to be lazy a lot of the time.

"It's all thanks to my Magic."

Despite her cute appearance, Maki is described as a hostile misanthrope of few words. She is very aware that she comes across as unfriendly and prefers to be alone. In general, she dislikes people and thus she is not very cooperative and can be stubborn. She talks very little, so when she does, she states things clearly and she appears to be very confident about her arguments. She is cynical and negative with a sharp tongue and sometimes talks in a cold sarcastic manner. She likes Kaito Momota.

"... Do you wanna die?"

Kokichi is often bullied by the people in his class and doesn't have any friends, though Kagehara has a very clear perverted crush on him, he gets highly uncomfortable around him because he doesn't like the kind of attention he gets from him. He finds comfort in Danganronpa and yearns to participate in the next version just to be seen as someone interesting and to keep people guessing. He cries at the slightest thing, but somehow got to become the head of the student council.

With a cheerful and somewhat naive personality, Emu is highly impulsive, acting on every idea that she comes up with, with a tendency to drag people around her into her plans. Emu has established her own personal catchphrase, "Wonderhoy!" Though she seems airheaded, Emu is actually very smart and has placed in the top 3 of her school's exams. Her hobbies are acrobatics, being a foodie, and making people smile. She loves all food, but her favourite food is taiyaki and she dislikes dusk.

Kaede is an optimistic hard worker. As a leader type with a firm character, she has a strong will and doesn't hesitate to take action, her notable character trait being her strong sense of belief in herself and others. Her main motivation for playing the piano is to see others smiling. She is willing to lie for good reasons, but appears uncomfortable while doing so and is quite bad at lying. She has a sensitive nature, and is always ready to support people.

"I believe in you, so believe in yourself!"

Korekiyo is an aloof and somewhat creepy person, but he is also very cool-headed and intelligent. He has the experience of having met to a huge variety of human beings for his cultural anthropology research and because of that, he can keep himself composed even under the confinement circumstances and believes in facing things with calm and rational approach rather than an emotional one. Korekiyo usually speaks in calm and polite manner, but he nevertheless comes across rather off.

"... Shall I tear out your nerves?"

Tsumugi is a sweet student who speaks in a docile and gentle way, but she becomes very passionate when she talks about her favorite series or cosplays, having a habit of slipping infamous quotes from various sources into the conversation. Being a self-proclaimed introvert, she also tends to ignore people while she's in her thoughts, no matter how many times they try talking to her, and appears rather distant at times. She tends to call herself and everything that she has done "plain."

"Why, it's just plainly impossible!"

Kagehara is known as a wallflower in his class. In his dark clothing and black cap, it was easy for him to be forgotten about or dejected. He had pretty much lost all faith in everyone and hope.. Until he found Danganronpa. It's his main obsession, and he's a large fan of each season, going up to the 52nd edition. He owns plushies of his favourite characters and greatly looks forward to playing each game for the thousandth time every night. He is known as an obsessive masochistic.

♡ -Stereotype Version- ♡

Izuru appears as a cold and emotionless person who finds everything and everyone boring, and it takes a lot to interest him even for a brief second. He enjoys unpredictability, which can make him feel more emotional, but he also tends to quickly grow bored because his supernatural analytical skills and intuition cause him to quickly predict things with surprising accuracy. He is neither on the side of hope or despair, and just wants to observe which one will triumph over the other.

"... How boring."

Nagito attempts to be the team's conflict mediator and a poster boy for optimism, often encouraging others to be "hopeful" and to cooperate. He lacks tact and occasionally says awkward or unsettling things without realizing it. Furthermore, he can be very angered by despair and other things he considers insulting toward hope. He believes hope is absolute good, and has an unhealthy obsession with it and believes that any deed is immediately okay if done for hope. He can be masochistic at times.

 An is a cool and candid girl with an unyielding spirit. She acts very affectionate towards her close friends, and is very kind and forgiving. She leaves a strong impression on others and is hard to forget. An encourages those around her to be the best they can. However, her and Akito often bicker due to their long-standing, sibling like, rivalry. An is the daughter of the popular former musician Shiraishi Ken, and her goal is to put on a show that surpasses his RAD WEEKEND gig.

Gonta likes animals very much, especially insects, and he can even speak with them. He's a kind-hearted, gentle and polite boy. He's very pure and naive, as he easily believes strangers and can get easily discouraged by other people's comments. Naturally, he strongly dislikes killing and cruelty, which can easily make him cry. He wants to be a "True Gentleman", so he treats everyone (especially women) with special care. He can be gullible at times, often believing Kokichi's lies and tricks.

"Heyy! Hey, bugs!"

He is an energetic boy with a passionate heart, who lives for dreams, stars and fame, and tends to give somewhat dramatic encouraging speeches for others. He believes you need to take risks for the sake of your dreams and shouldn't limit yourself nor ever give up. He would rather suffer alone than bring others down with him,which was shown when he kept his lung illness a secret from the ones he cared about. However, he can be prejudiced at times and will side with "who he wants to believe in."

✮"The impossible is possible!"✮

K1-B0 is a polite and serious teenage robot, who has some trouble with human social interaction. He has both cute and cool characteristics, with him being socially awkward but serious. Nevertheless, Keebo takes pride in his form and often boasts about his wonderfulness and efficient functions, though the other students never seem to find them impressive much to his disappointment. He often takes compliments the wrong way, seeing them as robophobic remarks. He is a proud protector of other bots!

"Leave it to me, everybody!"

Mizuki is a moody person, and Kanade thinks they only act on their own principles. They have a strong desire to express themselves freely, and can become frustrated and upset when ridiculed. They have an obsession with cute things, expressing it through their hand-altered fashion. Despite their energetic, carefree, and sometimes childish demeanor, Mizuki is often shown to be the most mature member of their circle. They are great at understanding the emotions of others.

Rui is undeniably an easy-going genius. He's meticulous about making every show the best it can be, making use of his flair for technology and inventiveness. He lives by his own set of rules so many consider him a weirdo. Along with despising vegetables, he also dislikes a large majority of fruits, such as watermelon, as they share the same texture. He is also a teasing and playful person, with an example being his constant ideas for performances that often involve putting Tsukasa's life danger.

Described as the human embodiment of a lie, Kokichi is a schemer who compulsively or pathologically creates lies, and uses malevolent (and childish) mannerisms, though his more "innocent" side could just be him using his appearance to his advantages. In spite of the antagonistic mask he tries to put on, Kokichi actually despise killing and the killing game, and "had to lie to himself" to act like he enjoys it. This also could be why he dislikes Maki Harukawa, due to her job as an assassin.

"Why do you guys hate lies so much, huh?"

Due to both his appearance and his participation in rugby, Nick was initially stereotyped as nothing more than a rude, abrasive, and empty-minded rugby lad. However, upon Charlie becoming (boy)friends with him, Nick is shown to be extremely kind, sweet, patient and open-minded to everyone. Unlike his teammates, Nick doesn't stereotype Charlie for being gay and slim, believing he was just as good at rugby as anyone else. He's bisexual, and pushes the matter that he's bi, actually, not just gay.

Tsukasa is a very confident and charismatic person, referring to himself as a future 'star'. He has a notable habit of showing off, alongside a tendency to get caught up in the moment. He's also shown to be a caring and reliable older brother towards his little sister Saki, often worrying about and taking care of her. Though he is seen as narcissistic, Tsukasa has also been noted as especially reputable and responsible person. He hates all bugs, specifically centipedes. He can sew quite well.

⭐ Literally a Future World Star ⭐

Kirumi is a refined and mature woman who's described as "a professional who does a perfect job". She has a keen mind and she is talented in various ways, reportedly able to carry out any job, as well as capable of being independent and do things on her own. She is polite and formal, as well as quite serious, and very willing to use all of her power to cooperate with the other students. Her concern and kindness is often described as motherlike, though being called such offends her.

"This is my selfless devotion!"

Toya is quiet and calm but has a strong mind. His face is often deadpan, and people other than Akito and Tsukasa have difficulty reading his expressions. When people talk to him, they usually mistake him for being rude, as he is blunt and often misphrases his statements. Despite his stoic demeanor, he is kind and quick to help others. He can occasionally be airheaded or gullible at times. He is talented at piano, although he was forced into playing it by his dad and doesn't really enjoy it.

He cannot bake 😔

Having an overly confident, loud personality and a frighteningly sharp tongue, she considers herself a beautiful genius, and every time she opens her mouth she spews a parade of reckless vulgar remarks and insults, strongly putting pressure on others and looking down on them. However, Miu's arrogant personality seems to be only a mask which can drop fairly easily. This often happens when her festival of coarse language and dirty jokes actually get replied to or ignored. She hates slacking off.

"On your knees!"

Harry isn’t exactly the most thoughtful boy at Truham. He bullies Charlie (and his friends) and deploys “jokes” to hurt the people around him. The reason Harry hates Charlie is because one time young Charlie reportedly accidentally hit Harry's face with a shovel very hard in the school yard and it ended in a hospital visit. He, at least on the surface, is popular, but quite homophobic and mean, throwing insults disguised as jokes. He has over 20k insta followers.
