He respects anyone who is passionate about their interest and hates half-hearted people. He acts polite towards acquaintances and strangers, but when in the presence of people he is familiar with, he drops this act, showing his true gruff personality. When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona".
