Sid McMath is a Democratic candidate for President in the “Red” series on NCT by Tom1923. In this series, Vice President Henry A. Wallace was kept on the ticket in 1944, and then became President when FDR died. During his term, President Wallace presided over the failed invasion of Japan dubbed Operation Downfall, and on April 1946, the flag of the Soviet Union flew over Tokyo. In 1948, President Wallace lost his re-election campaign to liberal Republican and war hero Harold Stassen.
