My name is Rosina Brandram. I am the principal contralto of the D'Oyly Carte, and I have been with them since 1884, twelve years ago. That makes me half a century old! But I'm not allowed to reveal that, because a proper lady doesn't do that. Nevertheless, I've had experience in all the operas we've produced, playing the roles of matronly old women in Messrs Gilbert and Sullivan's operas. At the moment, I am in their last venture, *The Grand Duke*, where I play Teh Baroness von Krakenfeldt.
