The overlord had a new plan, one of many created over the centuries of his eternal fight with the concept of good. He, of course, being the embodiment of darkness itself. What The King didn't know, though, was that his plan was impossible. That his whole purpose was to suffer endless failures over the hands of the other side. That his existence was essentially meaningless, made to balance.
