John Glenn used to be one of the possible Presidents in the United States in The New Order: Last Days of Europe, a world where the Axis won World War II, and a Cold War began between the United States, who led the Organization of Free Nations, the German Reich, who led the Einheitspakt, and the Japanese Empire, who led the Co-Prosperity Sphere. Glenn was elected in 1968 as an R-D candidate for the sole purpose of winning the Space Race and landing a man on Mars.
