Taurice Lemming's vague paranoia caused him to feel the need to put himself in danger before danger can happen TO him. He was perfectly fine agreeing to stare down eldritch horrors. He never really got over his rough childhood, and tried to hold onto those years by thrillseeking. Also a habitual all-nighter puller, and could take on far more caffeine than the average human.
