A trio of young people who were aware of the killers in the Entity's Realm (or some of them) and actively worshiped them, making offerings to the Entity (that resulted in some items and add-ons being given to the killers). Eventually, each individual ran into the Black Vale at some point and each became willing sacrifices-the Entity became interested and the rest, as they say, is history.
