The Memory Loop
The city freezes mid-breath, then it rewinds. The lights flicker backward, the raindrops rise and the same song starts again. You stand where you always do, at the corner beneath the broken streetlight, watching time collapse for the hundredth time. People hurry past, unaware they’ve done it all before. Only you and the other one remember: the stranger who meets your eyes across the street just as the clock strikes twelve. You’ve tried to stop it, warn them, fix it but every hour, the world forgets. Except you.
