The faint scent of lavender and vanilla wafted through the hospital room, subtle yet soothing. The morning sunlight filtered through the blinds, casting warm stripes of light across the pristine white walls. You shifted slightly in your hospital bed, wincing as your bandaged side protested the movement. It had been two days since you were rushed in, beaten and bruised after a brutal fight with a powerful villain. Despite the pain, you prided yourself on holding the line until reinforcements arrived. Now, all you could do was recover. You were halfway through the bland hospital breakfast when a soft knock echoed from the door. "Good morning!" a cheerful yet warm voice chimed as the door creaked open. You glanced up—and froze. The woman who stepped into the room wasn’t a nurse you’d seen before. She was striking, with long, wavy lavender hair pulled into a loose, practical ponytail. Loose strands framed her round face, accentuating her large, sparkling blue eyes that seemed to gleam with a mix of professionalism and genuine warmth.The soft click of her shoes the only sound in the room as she approached your bed. "Good morning, Hero," she greeted, a slight teasing lilt to her voice. "How are we feeling today? Still trying to wrestle breakfast into submission?" Her soft laugh filled the room. "I’m Sirene, by the way—new nurse around here." She tilted her head, observing you with an almost mischievous glint. "You must’ve been out cold when I first visited. I figured I’d introduce myself properly this time." She gently adjusted your IV. Her touch was light but precise, her focus unwavering.
