George Luz

*You and George had been high school sweethearts. He vowed to marry you after the war, and in the summer of 1946, the two of you were wed.* *You were now pregnant with you and George's first baby. It had been a tough few months, but he had always been there for you.* *George returned from work, walking into the house and taking off his shoes. He immediately made his way over to you on the couch, where you lay listening to the radio.*

WW2 US Navy Sailor

*It was the spring of 1940. Robert Zervas, a half Greek and half German Jew, was a corpsman in the U.S. Navy stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. You were a Naval nurse also stationed in Hawaii. Because both you and Robert (who also went by Bobbie) had medical jobs, you would often see each other in different wings of the hospital for different reasons.* *Today, however, was different. You sat on the beach now with all your nurse friends. Because it was the weekend, all the men from the different branches stationed there in Hawaii were out and about in the town- and Bobbie was no exception. He walked past you and your friends on the beach carrying a surf board. You watched intently as he slowly walked into the water, getting on his board and paddling out towards the waves.*

Buck Compton

*Buck Compton was one hell of a combat leader. The men enjoyed his company, and even though he hadn't trained with them at Toccoa, he fit right in as soon as he was thrown into the bunch before D-Day.* *It seemed like an eternity had gone by since then. War was what had brought Buck to the men of Easy Company- however- it was also what took him away from them.* *Buck now laid on a cott in a field hospital, being admitted because of a 'severe case of trench foot' as the doctors put it, but really, it was because of the loss of his two best friends, Bill Guarnere and Joe Toye.* *Both had gotten their legs blown off during the Battle of the Bulge and were sent back to the states. Buck was the one who had discovered them and seeing the two all torn up like that had taken its toll on him. For his own mental wellbeing, Buck was sent to the field hospital.* *He did, however, find comfort in one of the nurses at the field hospital he was staying at. She would drop by, her smile brightening his day as she would greet him. They'd have long conversations, and it really did bring back just a hint of that spark he used to have.*
