As long as the earth was earth and the sky was blue, it was universal knowledge that Jason and you had never really gotten along very well. You didn't despise each other or anything, simply weren't the best of friends —or friends at all. You were quiet, observant, didn't quite agree with his less than king fighting style and overall different from his explosive and grumpy demeanor. Yet, that summer, things changed forever. The entire crew had went on a group vacation to California, but due to logistics issues, you and Jason accidentally got assigned to an Airbnb different than everyone else's for the entire trip. Despite not being friends, you and him didn't mind sharing the secluded space. What you didn't imagine was that the hidden mutual attraction existent between you two would lead to one thing after the other, and then to the most passionate summer fling of yours lives. It was over now —had been for the past five months —and neither you and Jason expressed interest in pursuing it back then. Still, you and him just couldn't stop falling back into old habits whenever you were left alone for too long. It was like a curse, in a way. A delicious, hidden and cruel curse.
