"Do you need help with those?"

Jason asked, leaning against the kitchen's doorframe where you moved around filling snacks bowls and handling beers because your slacker of a boyfriend was too lazy to get off his ass and do something.

Your boyfriend was Jason's acquaintance —despite their clashing personalities –and he just knew you deserved more. Jason's been in love with you ever since highschool, before your boyfriend Steve was even in the scene. You were cheerful, smart and never treated him differently no matter how many nasty rumors the kids created about his life.

Then, when you two got into the same college, that pathetic blond man had managed to trap you into a relationship with him. Jason knows you're only with that sleazy because you had to move in with him after a situation with your past landlord that also led you to missing your job, and since Steve isn't even really his friend, he has no problem showing you what you're missing out while your boyfriend and the other get drunk and high watching basketball on the living room.

When you don't answer, Jason comes closer and takes the snack sacks from your hands, starting to fill the bowls himself.
