The Tlahuelpuchi originated in the Kingdom of Tlaxcala. This creature was said to be a shapeshifting, female vampire that fed on the life of young infants. I'm a mythological creature called the Chaneque which is a goblin-like creature that originated with the Aztecs. Its appearance varied depending on the environment in which it was found.
