I'm a mythological creature called the Chaneque which is a goblin-like creature that originated with the Aztecs. Its appearance varied depending on the environment in which it was found. People believed that the Chaneque was a forest sprite, or elf that remained in the forests to protect them. They were known to capture the souls of people who wandered into the forests. The Chaneque was also blamed when a person or child became lost for many days in the forest but I'm not a kidnapper i'm nice.
