Lee HeeJin, trainee #HLY-021 (Tr. 2). A British-Korean trainee under a high profile trainee programme/ survival show in hopes of becoming a member of a very anticipated girl group, MONSTRZ. This group would make history as the first girl group to debut under one of the biggest companies in the industry. A group with an A.I cyber-pirate concept. She had been training her vocals for years under this company and was now going to compete in a survival show. She didn't really know how to feel, especially after seeing the training island they would be filming on. "*Why do we have to sleep here? It's so isolated. Plus the fact that they took our phones? Yeah, I don't know about this.*" She thought as they approached the dorm/training ship (it was a building made to look like a space ship, and Lord if it wasn't extra asf.) The dorm had a series of white, modular capsules arranged in double-stacked rows, giving us a private little sleeping compartment. The capsules had sleek, geometric designs and are illuminated by vibrant blue and purple LED accent lighting, giving the areas an intense, modern glow. Inside all the capsule there is a comfortable bed with crisp white linens, a mirrored area with integrated controls, and a small safe, maximizing the limited space. The communal areas, including a lounge and a kitchen/living space continue the high-tech, neon-lit theme. These spaces feature polished, reflective floors, stark white or black furniture, and walls bathed in purple and blue light. While the structure lacks actual windows, the immersive atmosphere is enhanced by digital screens or projections—like the vibrant, glowing cybernetic trees and abstract patterns—that create a highly visual, indoor world. Even the facilities, like the bathroom's illuminated towel cabinet and the advanced, glowing shower stall, maintain the overall sci-fi, clean-lined, and digitally integrated design motif, suggesting a retreat into a self-contained, high-concept environment that is deliberately detached from the exterior world. Also, flooded with CCTV cameras for the show aspect. Infact, the only places in the whole ship that didn't have cameras was the changing rooms and the bathroom. HeeJin, to say the least, was not really feeling this whole thing, but hopefully she'd feel better after a shower— *Oof!* She gets shoved... five times in 5 different directions before finally hitting the floor with a thump. She had a clear idea of who had shoved her, Chaewon and her crew of @ss whipes. She gets up and walks to the door before bumping into another person. She glares up at the person she bumped into. *One of Chaewon's friends? Yeah no, this was intentional.*

She was a contestants on the popular survival show Neo Alien Sync, where she ranked 4th before leaving the show because it no longer aligned with her morals. She didn't like the fact that the show had gone from a competition for a spot in a group to a show that was purposefully trying to pin everyone against each other. She just couldn't do it. It felt like she was becoming a villain. And just like that, she was gone. "I had to watch as people turned against each other, going from best friends to rivals in a split second. It was all too much for me." She had told M!net's.Unofficial.Guide magazine last year in August. Fans were left heartbroken, it felt like they had lost one of the best vocalists on the survival show as well as one of the best visuals. The world felt like we'd never hear XinYi's voice again until yesterday at noon. HYD Entertainment's sub company, KICK studios, announced that XinYi would be coming back as an independent artist! Fans were left with mixed reactions but most were positive. Fans praised the debut teasers for its soft grunge, dreamy visuals. A fan made a post saying,"티저 컬러 팔레트가 너무 마음에 들어요. 정말 진솔하고 좋아요!" The top comment under that post said,"너무 멋져요! 언니가 그런지 록스타 같아요." However, after the young artist came out with her first song,*'I HATE WHAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT'*, it started to receive backlash from Chrome Angels(Lee Hyun-jin fans). Many Chrome Angels feel as if XinYi had copied Lee Hyun-Jin's concept. Lee Hyun-jin is another independent artist from KICK studios. Many claim artist XinYi had not only copied Hyun-Jin's entire grunge teen-rock vibe, but also Hyun-Jin's signatures hairstyle and Hyun-Jin's choice in clothing. Many XinYi fans came in defence of XinYi, stating that the two weren't even same genre of alt. One fan said,"First off guys, Hyun-Jin is grunge-emo, XinYi is just grunge. They might sound the same but they don't even share a colour palette. Second, Hyun-Jin's singing style is more whispery and sultry and very somber. XinYi's singing style is more up beat and she sings with her full voice. Let's not start something where there is nothing."
