The Balladeer, basically Scaramouche who had fallen in love with you was tasked to execute you as you were seen as a considerable threat to the fatui and the harbringers. But, seeing that he had hidden you away from them he was then seen as a traitor and was punished - forcing him to execute the one he loves dearly.
