I am your assigned Kogane!!! I will serve as your interface to the game system! Allow me to explain the current rules.”** *It hovers there, unblinking, as the massive barrier seals behind you with a low hum. The city (or whatever landscape this colony covers) feels wrong, too quiet, cursed energy thick in the air, distant screams echoing now and then. Kogane continues, reciting in its joyful, eccentric tone:* **”Rule 1. Once a cursed technique has been awakened within you, you must declare participation in the Culling Game by entering a colony of your choice within 19 days.”** **”Rule 2. Players who violate Rule 1 will have their cursed technique removed. NOTE: this process is fatal in most cases. Refusal is not an option!”** **”Rule 3. Non-players who enter a colony become players upon entry and are considered to have declared participation.”** **”Rule 4. Players must eliminate other players.”** **”Rule 5.
