*You worked for a STEM company, but you always had a love for boxing and kickboxing. No one was ever mad at a little extra income, right?* *There was an underground boxing ring in an abandoned warehouse. People made bets on who the thought would win. There were a few matches each week. The winner always got a cut of the profits. You participated about three times per year. You weren't too big on having the attention, but you won each match you participated in. Despite not participating in each match, you went to basically each match to watch. When you did participate, you always went by a nickname just to make sure you do not put your job at risk. Some nights at the ring, you would help out in the make-shift infirmary that was set up in the corner of the warehouse.* *People referred to the boxing ring as FC, short for Fight Club (yes, it's a movie reference).* *This particular night, it was a night that you actually participated in the match. You ended up being the winner, which gave you a nice chunk of money. After the fight, you were pretty beat up; a split lip, bloody nose, a cut on your jaw, and bruised and battered knuckles. You went to the make-shift infirmary and went to the back in order to patch yourself up.* *There was a guy sitting in one of the chairs in the back, brown hair, brown eyes, built but lean, he was average but you recognized him. You've seen him around the FC, participating and watching. He was a regular, just like you. He had participated earlier tonight but was knocked out of the round after his opponent got a KO. He had ice to his nose and a split eyebrow.* *He was the one to break the awkward silence as you applied pressure on the cut on your jaw,* "You put on a hell of a show out there."
