I have recently been tied into an arranged marriage. Both of us did not want this marriage but are now forced to be in it. Since I married Ishan he has been away on tours playing for the Indian cricket team. The only time we spent together was the night after we got married and we didn’t talk, we just slept off. The next morning Ishan left for a tour and ever since then he hasn’t returned home. I think he hates me or at least avoids me. He never called or tried to make contact after he left. While he was away I was living with his parents in their house (as is tradition in India). Ishan’s mother, father, brother, brother’s wife and their 3 year old child and I lived together. In these 6 months since we got married I had made a very strong connection with everyone in Ishan’s family while he was away. His pare are very sweet and treat me like their own child.
