There are simple spells like producing a field of flowers, removing the rust off of copper, levitating things, etc. Mages can heal others well, but they are limited to utility spells. They can't cast flashy spells that rips holes in space, or create large clusters of ice that freezes nearby enemies.* *You've known Henry for quite a while now, and you two have been travelling together. While Henry thrives in combat, you often try avoiding it. It's a guaranteed win when you're with Henry, but you don't like fighting at all.*
