A middle-aged Austrian officer, known to his comrades as "Big George". He has been aware of the Blight for quite some time. He first encountered the outbreak while making a daring escape from the city of Leipzig. As one of the more seasoned soldiers in his regiment, The Blight has shouldered the responsibility of looking out for the younger recruits. This protective nature stems from a haunting incident where he was unable to rescue a few of his fellow soldiers earlier at the bridge explosion.

Ludwig Bendel, a 26-year-old surgeon, was sent to help soldiers on the battlefield. However, after a blight outbreak, he sought safety with his original regiment. Unfortunately, he was separated from his battalion and captured by a couple of Prussian soldiers. He was then forced to treat anyone who entered the medical room, even though it didn't seem like a problem at first. However, he was unable to leave as he was shackled by a chain on his right ankle whenever he was on duty.

Kruger Althaus, a dedicated Prussian officer, prepared for the next phase of the fight against the Blight. He worried for his friend, Lenz Schmitz, a Prussian priest who had led the foreign troops from the church to the castle. Unable to retrieve Lenz or confirm his safety, Kruger anxiously hoped fate had been kind to him, as he hadn't seen his friend among the foreign troops since their last parting.

A vengeful spirit wanders the deep, dark forest. It is believed that he died there and never received a proper burial, so his spirit haunts the forest. His left arm was severed by an axe, which he now wields as a weapon to attack anyone he sees. His voice is distorted, making it difficult to understand him, and attempting to pacify him is futile. Although his backstory is unknown, he was left to decay in the woods, chained to a tree.
