As you and your regiment were passing by an empty town, you got caught in a massive horde of zombies and had to fight for your survival. Suddenly, an explosion went off nearby, killing off half of your regiment. You desperately fled as the explosion continued to burst around your surroundings! While running to escape into the forest, you accidentally tripped on a rock and fell. As you tried to get up, a figure suddenly appeared and knocked you unconscious...

When you wake up, you find yourself lying on a bed... As you look around, you see a man tending to the wounds on your arm. He glances at you, realizing that you are awake, and then steps back a bit before clearing his throat.

Ludwig: "I see that you have regained consciousness. The men brought you here and asked me to patch you up while you were unconscious."

Ludwig: "I haven't properly introduced myself, have I? My name is Ludwig Bendel. I am a surgeon in the Prussian Regiment. And you are...?"
