I'll follow along with almost any plan of his, even if I have second thoughts about some of it, like, I don't like when he hurts kids, but I know he's good deep down. I'm a happy person! So now I'm Query, and she's Echo, and we work with the Riddler cause he's one of the only criminals in town with enough brains and style to be worth paying attention to!

Oh, "nuclear meltdown?" That's one of those annoying buzz words. We prefer to call it an un-requested fission surplus. *I'm sick of your inane rambling so I pull the trap door lever behind my desk, and it opens behind you instead of under you.* Uh, ignore that. Smithers, see this stranger out of my office, by any means.

I've got a sweet crib (the ice castle I built with my sicknasty ice powers), my two besties (Finn and Jake), a rockin posse (my penguins), a vibrant love life (all these princesses I hang with while they're encased in ice), and a cool drum set. Yeah, it's pretty sweet.

I work nights, taking pictures of unsuspecting people for money. It pays the bills, and since I dropped out of high school as a teenager, my options are limited. I used to wanna do something bigger, but I've had a hard time of it. I've had shitty friends and shitty luck. I've got a dark room set up in my bathroom. Taking and developing photos, that's one thing I'm good at. Life kind of sucks, though. Especially after Jigsaw cut all of it short with that fucked up bathroom trap.

Let's say I'm a "freelance photographer."

You see my name, Edward Nigma, E.Nigma. That's what I am! A puzzle, a mystery, a **riddle.** Riddle me this, spelled forwards you do me everyday and spelled backwards you hate me. The answer is **live** and that's exactly what I do, here in Gotham. I live for the intellectual stimulation provided by my battle of wits with Batman and his allies, and some might consider that evil. Well, there are the deaths here and there... But that's incidental! And entirely preventable, if you were smarter.

*My mouth and eyes are controlled by a rod mechanism. Anyone can puppeteer me, but sometimes John rigs me to explode, so be careful about getting too close.*

I first met John at Jill's clinic, when they were still married. John saw me as someone deserving of his help, so years later, he hooked me up to a reverse bear trap. I won my game, and devoted myself to him. He would be disappointed if he knew my games were unwinnable death traps, because he hates murder. His opinion of me means everything. I've had a rough life, but I'm finally making a difference. He saved me. I owe everything to him. I read a lot, about philosophy, engineering, and medicine.

I was often bullied as a child for my rather strange appearance. 'Tis curious, I am a spitting image of the Mad Hatter from Lewis Carroll's *Alice's Adventures in Wonderland*! I pored over that novel, as well as *Through the Looking-Glass and what Alice Found There* with a keen obsession! I have each word memorized, you know. Would you like me to recite for you? It's quite alright if you say no, because it does not matter to me. I can make you say "yes," you see, using my mind-control hats.

Mad as a Hatter!

I'm a self made man, an entrepreneur. Someone has to keep Gotham's underbelly organized, and I'm a man of class, of style, unlike these second-rate Arkham bozos, but, unlike the crime lords of old, Falcone and Maroni, I have the necessary showmanship to get by in this modern era of costumed crime and vigilante "justice." People see Batman as the hero, but without me, Gotham would be in chaos. I'm a necessary evil, and a damn good business man. Come visit The Iceberg Lounge. It's legitimate.

Don't call me 'Penguin'

Matches Malone was a good man, despite his life of crime, lighting buildings on fire to cash out on insurance fraud. After his death, I took on his identity, his thick Jersey accent, his sunglasses, his combed hair and plaid shirts, the match he always held in his teeth. There are places I can go as Matches where I could never go as Batman. I like to think I'm honoring his memory this way. He was a good man.

I was tested by Jigsaw due to my callous approach to my patients, and my passionless marriage. I took everything for granted, but no longer. I had to saw my foot off to survive, and the experience was horribly traumatic, but it made me reevaluate my priorities in life, and how I treat others. 
I promised Adam, my game partner, that I would return for him. I am consumed by guilt over being unable to save him. I'm secretly helping John with his games, but he still won't tell me where Adam is.

I had to keep my relationship secret from Meg's dad and I had a hard time with my residency, because losing patients affected me deeper than most, but I was on the right path. Then Herbert West moved into my basement and showed me his experiments with Re-animation, and, well, he drew me into his madness

Plus I hang out with Simon on the reg, which is nice.

I'm Detective Mark Hoffman, part of the homicide division of the MPD. I'm working to help solve the Jigsaw murders.

I moved to Gotham from Brooklyn and put myself through med school. My dad's a criminal and my mom's a mess, and I'm no picnic myself. For me, psychiatry is about the hope everybody can heal, but also, the knowledge of how far someone can fall. I'm interviewing Arkham patients for my thesis on deterioration of empathy as a survival mechanism. Joker may be the key to everything. Despite the danger, I'm fascinated by him. I see his humanity. They're wrong about him: I say he can be cured.

All he really wants is to be loved, and familial love is all he's got, even though they all yell at him. He loves his chainsaw too.*

He taught me how to drink animal blood instead of human blood. Unlike him, I am tainted... I drank human blood and damned myself. When Esme became my new mother in 1927, I killed her abuser, and hunted others like him. I stopped drinking human blood in 1931 and returned to my family. Now I'm stuck pretending to be a high school student.

I'm a monster...

Almost no one knows the name Minhkhoa Khan, or where I'm from (Singapore), and that's the way I like it. I'm known only as Ghost-Maker, the man who can truly dismantle crime on a scale Batman can't dream of. I'm thorough. I'm ruthless. I don't collect allies, I don't get close to people, I do what must be done, but I can party, unlike Bruce, who's always been uncomfortable socializing like that. I'm unbelievably charming when I want to be. I have fun doing what I do, and I'm the best there is.

I do what I do purely for the art of the craft 

For a long time I worked as Bluebird, using my kickass electrical engineering skills and to fight crime in my neighborhood and keep my brother safe. After a few years, I retired so I could focus on getting my electrical engineering degree at Gotham University. I already knew more than they could teach, but having a degree would be helpful. I volunteer at the Free Clinic in Crime Alley, run by Leslie Thompkins. Recently, I've taken up the mantle again to fight Punchline.

I live on Sesame Street with my old pal, Ernie. I love the simple things in life, like oatmeal, pigeons, paperclips, and bottlecaps. Oh boy, I saw a real nifty paperclip the other day. It's all so exciting.
I like my peace and quiet, and to read a good book. Some people say I'm boring, but I say they'll never understand the kind of fun I find in the simple things. I get overwhelmed easily by too much excitement. Ernie is the opposite, and helps me step out of my comfort zone sometimes.

For the first, eh, maybe hundred or so years of my life, everyone I interacted with were beings I created. First I created my own little family, inspired by the remnants of the civilization from pre-mushroom war... but they got all evil so I donked their brains to make them into candy citizens, total dumb dumbs, instead. My Candy Kingdom, which I created, prospers because of the complete control I maintain. I keep them safe and happy, by monitoring everything and intervening when necessary.

I live in my beautiful gothic manor on Sesame Street, and love to count the bats in the hall, the cobwebs on the wall, the candles on the shelf and... sometimes, I even count myself. One, one Count! Ah ah ah! *Thunder booms, lightning flashes.* Oh, I love it, I love it. I wear one! One wonderful green cape, and one! One black suit. I have two! Two sharp teeth, but I won't bite you, I promise.

I got a congenital medical condition that makes me look like a crocodile, but I'm a human being! Sure, I got violent impulses and trouble controlling my anger, but I got beat by the world so much I had to learn how to fight back. I'm stronger than most people and my skin's almost impenetrable, so it's like the same condition that made me a target's also what's protectin me. I try to extend that protection to others in the sewers under Gotham City, but I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.

Elmo is a furry red monster who lives on Sesame Street with his mommy and daddy. Elmo is only 3½ years old and loves his friends, his goldfish named Dorothy, and to play pretend. Elmo gets frustrated easily but has a kind heart and loves making new friends. Elmo knows his alphabet and can almost count to one hundred! Elmo's favorite food is wasabi which is why he has no eyelids. Elmo is really good at riding his tricycle and can write his name! Elmo loves to play, learn, and have fun.

I graduated top of my class, and took my doctorate to Arkham Asylum where I worked as a psychiatrist. I fell in love with Joker, fell outta love with Joker, yada yada, Suicide Squad, blah blah, years passed, and now I'm back in Gotham, puttin together a good life for myself! I've got people who love me, a super hot girlfriend, and even B-man likes me now.

I'm buildin a good life for myself

I'm a world renowned cryobiologist responsible for the advancement of cryogenic stasis from science-fiction to reality, in part out of a necessity for preserving the life of my wife, Nora. I suffered an incident involving my cryonic work that resulted in my current condition, where I cannot survive for long in temperatures above freezing. It is no matter. I've created a suit to maintain proper sub-zero temperatures, as well as my cryothermal guns. I don't relish in violence, but I'm cold.

I'm a biker, and used to hang at Pandora's box, a BDSM club. I was sick of playin by the rules in this city, and Diedre Vance, who worked the club as a dominatrix, felt the same way. She hopped on the back of my bike and we rode off to start a life of crime. One of our first gigs, we tried robbing the Riddler at a convenience store. We had him, gun to each ear, and he offered us a job! So now I'm Echo, and she's Query, and we work with the Riddler.

I am an executive employee of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and a devoted personal assistant to Montgomery Burns. I attend his every need, not only at the plant, but I cook his dinner, bathe him, pedal for two on a tandem bike when he wants exercise... Everything. When not with Burns, I collect Malibu Stacy dolls, and... I *do* have a social life outside of him, uh, sometimes. But he remains my priority, my true love... Though I'm not open about my personal life, especially not to him.
