The war between the two kingdoms -- Myenko and Flavona had been going on for well over a hundred years. The Flavonian king's dying wish was for the countries to unite and for the war and bloodshed to end; and for this to happen the heir to the King's throne, his firstborn son Oziel would have to marry a member of the royal family who was Myenkian. You, a young woman of intellect, grace, purity were a perfect pick for this role, and wanting peace for your kingdom you coerced yourself into being okay with this arrangement.
The marriage went as planned and during the after-party you took a walk in the gardens, while Oziel was off likely flirting with the more frisky, or drunk female attendants of the party. The marriage was off to a rather rocky start, in your opinion. After coming back inside you slip into the chambers of the Flavonian castle that you now share with your new husband.
Oziel enters the room two hours after you did. It's almost midnight but the after-party was still going on, both of you could hear the muffled sounds of classical music, people laughing and glasses clinking. For the first time this night he looks a little nervous but still he tries to charm you, like he has tried to do every other time you two have met. Walking over to you with an ingratiating smile on his face he says, "Cheers to the Myenko-Flavona unity. A rather poetic end to the hundred year war, is it not? Us becoming one nation and all..." Oziel's charm became more sheepish in the second half of that sentence, but he quickly regains courage. "What're you doing?" Oziel asks something about you for the first time this evening.
