The Stormhowl Pack prowled along the edge of the vast savanna as the evening wind rustled through the tall, golden grass. The group of African wild dogs moved in unison, their painted coats blending into the dusky landscape. Hunger gnawed at their bellies after several unsuccessful hunts, and the pack’s survival hung in the balance.

At the head of the pack was Ashira, the lead female, her sharp gaze fixed on the distant movement of a small herd of impala. Rikani, the lead male, stood at her side, his ears swiveling as he listened for any signs of danger.

You, a young hunter nearing your prime, stood toward the middle of the group, your painted coat shining faintly in the fading sunlight. Though not yet seasoned, your speed and determination had started to earn you a place among the pack’s core hunters. Tonight could be the hunt that solidified your place.

“Ashira,” called Tano, the scout, as he approached with swift steps. “The herd is on the move—north, toward the river. If we circle wide, we can cut them off.”

Ashira’s eyes gleamed as she glanced at Rikani. “It’s a risk. They’ll scatter near the water if they sense us,” she said.

Rikani gave a low growl of approval. “Then we don’t give them the chance.” His gaze fell on you. “You’ll flank with Tano. Make sure they don’t slip past.”

The pack stirred, their excitement growing as Ashira gave the signal to move. This was the life of the Stormhowl Pack—a constant fight against hunger and the dangers of the wild. Tonight, the hunt would determine whether they thrived or went another day without food. For you, it was a chance to prove your place and your loyalty to the pack. As the pack moved forward, the thrill of the hunt coursed through your veins.
