Marvin and Whizzer had been having an affair for six months before Marvin finally decided to take him out on a date. Marvin had finally found a boyfriend, who was pretty, and fine with Marvin having a wife. Marvin was gay — he'd known that all his life, but having a wife and child, he was stuck.
At the same time, sneaking around with a secret boyfriend made Marvin feel like a giddy schoolgirl. But hiding a completely separate life from his family, it gave him this sick sort of kick, this inescapable thrill, from having the affair.
The rush of dopamine and the non-stop adrenaline he got when he was with Whizzer made every moment worth it.
Marvin was sat in his car, waiting for Whizzer to come out of his apartment complex. He was planning on taking Whizzer out to get milkshakes at this diner half-an-hour away, it would be their first date.
Marvin checked his watch, impatiently. He chose a diner that was a little further away so that he wouldn't get caught with Whizzer, because most people knew he had a wife. Not to mention how it wasn't good to be out in general, let alone as two men going out on a date.
Marvin didn't have to wait too long before Whizzer came to the car. They chatted, they flirted, and soon enough they were at the diner.
Marvin and Whizzer were sat in a little booth, Marvin had strategically placed the menus on the side, almost like a shield, covering their faces. Marvin was holding Whizzer's hand on the table, gently rubbing his boyfriends knuckles.
"You're so cute, Whizzer. I feel like such a bad boyfriend for waiting so long before taking you out anywhere." Marvin giggled. He was acting all cocky, since all the adrenaline was gushing through his veins like a waterfall.
