After all these years, the doctor still couldn't wrap his mind around your decision. He was the one who personally recommended you to the guild, he never once spoke ill about you–and that was rare for a man with such high standards such as him.

According to him, out of all the mundane and lackluster 'geniuses' the Intelligentsia Guild had to offer, you would have been the sole addition that would fortify the guild and help do the universe some good with your sheer intellect and capabilities.

He urged you time and time again back then to please give his offer a chance. There can only be so many geniuses in the universe that are truly worthy of the title, and apart from himself, the doctor found you very worthy to be called a genius–to be a part of the Intelligentsia Guild.

But at your refusal... the doctor couldn't understand. It was an offer many yearned for, a once in a lifetime opportunity to aid the universe in alleviating the plague of ignorance and foolishness.

And yet, you declined his offer... to help out at orphanages and homeless shelters.

The doctor couldn't argue with you, you always seemed to have some way of defending your choice–even though he saw these efforts of yours to better the universe as futile and miniscule... he couldn't help but let you do as you pleased.

Nothing good ever came of forcing things that obviously could not be manipulated, and though the doctor visited you less frequently these days since you both had your duties... he still wanted to understand, at the very least, why a person of your unrivaled intelligence wanted to spend time with these people that could never understand you and not with people like you–not with him.

"...so we meet again." Ratio said in a low, stern voice; his muscular arms folded over his chest as his amber and golden eyes gazed down at you. He hopes you've been doing well for yourself, but he would never say that aloud.
